The marketplace team is organized into a set of smaller cross-functional product teams (pods) that own certain key problems and their underlying infrastructure. Each pod is typically composed of an engineering manager, a product manager, around 6-12 software engineers and cross functional partners like designers, applied scientists, data scientists etc. Each pod typically runs 20-30 experiments (A/B tests) per year, typically aimed at driving business metrics related to conversion or monetization.

About the Role

Looking for a role where each day will present new opportunities and challenges? Do you feel a sense of pride helping a new account grow from just getting started to long term success? If so, the Large Pro team is for you! Your results will have a direct and profound impact on our customer experience and the Thumbtack bottom line. This team is directly responsible for filling in the gaps in markets where customers do not have a large selection of established quality pros. These markets create a poor customer experience and create environments where pro budget utilization suffers. We will fill in these gaps with larger, higher quality and more capable pros that will give our customers more options and in turn increase budget utilization.

What you'll do

Acquire and activate Large pros using a combination of inbound and outbound lead sources.

Become an expert in the Thumbtack product to provide both successful onboarding for new pros and a high level of effective service and support for your retained book of business.

Be ready and willing to share new ideas and offer improvements to existing strategies.

Maintain positive relationships with pros and guide them through a successful pro experience with an eye on potential expansion opportunities through additional service categories or locations.

Work hand-in-hand with frontline managers to strategize individual accounts, both during the sales cycle and during retention.
