The Revenue and Leasing Assurance Accountant will be responsible for supporting the analysis and accounting conclusion on significant and complex revenue and lease accounting matters. This contains a component of standard month close reporting and standard monthly accounting as well as ad-hoc review and analysis of more intricate transactions. The role will be partnering across regions for some tasks and will be partnering locally in EMEA region for others. The ideal candidate should be an early-career accounting professional (or recent graduate) with a strong academic background in accounting, finance, or a related field. They have a basic understanding of revenue recognition and lease accounting principles and demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop expertise in these areas. They are highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with data, ensuring accuracy in routine monthly close activities and reporting. At the same time, they show curiosity and analytical thinking when supporting the review of more complex or non-standard transactions. Responsibilities - Perform accounting analysis and prepare journal entries related to bad debt, sales allowance, and other revenue related accounts. - Prepare account reconciliations for revenue related GL accounts, investigate, and resolve variances where necessary. - Prepare and execute SOX controls and to ensure SOX compliance at all times. - Assist in preparation of ASC 606, ASC 842 and related party disclosures for SEC reporting. - Perform credit memo analysis on a global basis and investigate various scenarios of credit & rebill versus concession/net credits issued to customers to conclude on general reserves requirements. - Support external and internal audits, including preparing working papers for the auditors and analyzing data. - Perform ad hoc projects as needed to optimize revenue and lease related matters Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting and/or equivalent experience - 2+ years of accounting experience. - Public accounting experience preferred. - Prior experience in revenue and lease accounting is a plus. - Experience with Oracle Cloud, Hyperion, RevPro revenue management tool and Lucernex lease accounting software is a plus - Experienced skill-level with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint). - Strong organizational skills, showing accuracy and attention to detail - Strong analytical thinking abilities - Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks within time constraints and deadlines - Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude are essential Equinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
