Assistant Manager, Share Margin Financing (Wealth Asset Financing)

Are you passionate about the capital market and building long-term client relationships? Join our Wealth Asset Financing team and play a key role in helping investors maximize their trading potential through Share Margin Financing (SMF) and other wealth solutions.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will be at the forefront of our SMF business, working closely with brokers, dealers, remisiers, personal bankers, relationship managers and priority banking teams. You will:

  • Grow a New-to-Bank (NTB) pipeline by driving awareness and adoption of SMF through a panel of external brokers, personal bankers and relationship managers.
  • Own key relationships with in-market brokers/dealers/remisiers and clients, becoming their go-to partner for SMF and wealth asset financing needs.
  • Deliver exceptional service, providing accurate, up-to-date information and handling enquiries and complaints professionally until issues are resolved.
  • Champion marketing campaigns to drive NTB acquisition and SMF utilization, turning campaigns into real business results.
  • Be on the ground with regular visits to external brokers and Priority Banking Centres (monthly/quarterly, depending on coverage).
  • Be the voice of the client, sharing feedback with the Wealth Asset Financing Product Manager on product features, eligible counters/marginable listings and competitor offerings.
  • Enable others to succeed by conducting training/briefing sessions for brokers, personal bankers and relationship managers on SMF and other Wealth Asset Financing products.
  • Broaden your exposure by cross-selling other financing products such as Mortgage, Hire Purchase, Personal Loan and Credit Cards.
  • Support governance and compliance, assisting the Head of Wealth Asset Financing and Team Lead, SMF on audit and compliance matters in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate across the bank, building strong working relationships with Regional Wealth Management, branches, regional offices and Head Office stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

We are looking for someone who is relationship-driven, proactive and commercially savvy, with a genuine interest in the equity and wealth management space.

You are

  • A Malaysian citizen.
  • Holding at least a Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Business Studies or Marketing (or equivalent).
  • Preferably bringing 2–3 years of experience in Global Markets, Equity Dealing or Wealth Management.
  • Comfortable engaging HNW and affluent clients through intermediaries (brokers, dealers, remisiers, RMs, personal bankers).
  • Candidates who have passed SIDC Module 6 & 7 are strongly encouraged to apply.
