Position Summary The Assistant Manager, Trainee is responsible for overseeing the overall well-being, registration, onboarding, and administrative management of Cadet Pilots and Engineering Trainees at MAB Academy. This role ensures a seamless onboarding process, proper documentation, and continuous trainee support throughout the training lifecycle.

The position plays a key role in coordinating with internal departments, regulatory bodies, and external partners to ensure compliance with CAAM and MAB Academy standards. As a fully functional Assistant Manager, the incumbent supervises the trainee administration team and ensures all operational and welfare matters are efficiently managed.

Key Accountability

  • Responsible for new registration, onboarding, and documentation processes for Cadet Pilot and Engineering trainees.
  • Ensure all trainee records, contracts, medical clearances, and CAAM documents are complete and accurate.
  • Monitor and manage trainee attendance, progress, disciplines, curriculum and well-being throughout the training.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Training Coordinators, Instructors, Finance, Human Capital) to ensure timely completion of administrative tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of trainee personal data in compliance with data protection standards.
  • Plan and implement welfare initiatives to support the physical, emotional, and professional well-being of trainees.
  • Act as the key liaison between trainees and the Academy for welfare concerns, disciplinary issues, or counselling support.
  • Coordinate accommodation, transportation, and meal arrangements (where applicable) for trainees.
  • Facilitate periodic engagement sessions, surveys, or townhalls to improve trainee experience and retention.
  • Maintain accurate and auditable records for all trainees in alignment with ATO/MTO requirements and audit standards.
  • Ensure all training records, assessments, and documentation are properly maintained for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports, dashboards, and analytics related to trainee performance and welfare.
  • Lead and supervise the trainee administration team to ensure effective task delegation and high performance.
Qualification & Working Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education Management, or any related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in training administration or trainee management, preferably in aviation or educational institutions.
Area of Experience Experience in dealing with Cadet Pilot or Engineering training programs will be an added advantage.
