Assistant Warehouse Manager

Meyer Distributing is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our Arlington, TX team!

The Assistant Warehouse Manager loads and unloads trucks, stocks products in appropriate locations, pulls stock and stages products for shipping, and operates powered industrial equipment (forklift/manlift), ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Pay:

Starting up to $80,000.00 annually, based on experience.

Schedule (End times may vary):

Will be 2nd shift focused, minimum of 45 hours a week.

Requirements for Assistant Warehouse Manager:

  • 3 to 5 years of Warehouse management experience
  • Positive attitude and have ability to motivate employees
  • Ability to give special attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities
  • Planning/organizing and follow up skills
  • Quality control - the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality
  • Adaptability - the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events
  • Dependability - the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
  • Communication - Must have excellent oral and written communication skills up and down organizational structure

Assistant Warehouse Manager duties include but are not limited to:

  • Report safety issues or concerns immediately to management.
  • Report improperly functioning equipment to maintenance and tag out equipment
  • Unload trucks and distribute products to an appropriate area of warehouse for restocking
  • Use scanners to place parts in proper bins and pull orders
  • Stock parts on racks in proper location
  • Pull orders from warehouse stock and distribute parts according to end destination
  • Assist in counting and reconciliating physical inventory
  • Move products manually and with the assistance of other mechanical means
  • Be familiar with Company/Human Resources Policies and enforce them consistently
  • Report on absence of employees via computer
  • Manage all operational duties within the warehouse, including receiving, shipping, and warehousing
  • Able to initiate, coordinate, and enforce program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
  • Maintain the physical condition of the warehouse
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment
  • Maintaining warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees
  • All other duties as assigned
