Our client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Assoc Epic Instructional Designer-eLearning Developer for their Remote location. Responsibilities • Client's Instructional Design and eLearning Development team is responsible for developing the knowledge and skills of our workforce with a focus on Epic and its many integrations. • They ensure client staff can meet current and future business objectives and deliver quality educational services that meet our customers’ needs through online and hybrid content. They design courses, develop overall curriculums, produce eLearning, and create supporting education materials. They work closely with teams across the organization – conducting needs analyses, developing learning objectives, writing, organizing, and editing content, and applying learning theory to produce customized education solutions. • The team uses skills of instructional design and multimedia development to help shape curricular content into coherent instructional modules that employ multimedia and a variety of interactive, web-based tools aimed at encouraging engagement. They work to solve complex content or delivery-related issues in collaboration with Epic analysis and client technical teams. Instructional Designers/eLearning Developers devise the educational interventions required, to close end user performance gap. They create training programs based on analysis and provide guidance in creating and evaluating the results. • Client’s Associate Instructional Designers/eLearning Developers play a key role in planning, designing, developing, and coordinating training materials, eLearning content, and courses. • They help create visually compelling, interactive, scenario-based courses that drive positive learning outcomes through engaging, role-specific content. • Associate Instructional Designers/eLearning Developers coordinate with team members, contribute to the course content and design, and ensure the courses meet the highest quality standards through thorough testing. • The goal of Associate Instructional Designers/eLearning Developers is to positively impact client training initiatives. • Develop academic courses and learning modules • Apply adult learning theories to improve user’s performance and productivity. • Test completed courses for functionality, quality, and timing • Apply contemporary learning best practices as well as standardized tools and templates • Collaborate with team members to recommend solutions regarding learning roadblocks and/or enhancements. • Develop knowledge check questions and realistic role-based scenarios • Adjust educational approach, course content/structure based on feedback received • Ensure system changes and updates are incorporated into existing documentation and curriculum. • Maintain expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of assigned software / Epic modules. • Assist in maintaining and testing the training environment • Be at work and be on time • Follow company policies, procedures and directives • Interact in a positive and constructive manner • Prioritize and multitask • Section II of the CAT. Specific job related responsibilities and duties. • Develops academic courses and learning modules using course management software, web authoring tools, and eLearning technologies to meet strict timelines. • Contributes to the design, development, and production of learning materials using digital media (audio, video, and web) and the application of instructional design principles. Applies adult learning theories to improve user’s performance and productivity. • Produces eLearning courses on time and aligns those programs with an overall learning outcomes strategy. Tests completed courses for functionality, quality, timing and recommend edits to improve accuracy and learner experience. • Applies contemporary learning best practices as well as standardized tools and templates to develop and maintain training material, job aids, exercises, activities, and documentation enhancing the learning process. • Supports the formative evaluation of educational content/formats and collaborates with team members to recommend solutions regarding learning roadblocks and/or enhancements. • Writes concise, compelling course descriptions and clear learning objectives • Develops knowledge check questions and realistic role-based scenarios that reflect the course objectives and content. Assist in the evaluation of learner performance before, during, and after learning experiences. • Adjusts educational approach, course content/structure based on feedback received • Coordinates training logistics (courses, classrooms, registrations, timeframes, etc.) in collaboration with the other team members as necessary • Ensures system changes and updates are incorporated into existing documentation and curriculum. • Maintains expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of assigned software / Epic modules. Remains informed about trends and innovations in the industry • Assists in maintaining and testing the training environment in a manner consistent with the overall training strategy and approach Requirements • Minimum of 3-years relevant Epic experience preferred • Experienced in learning design, training development and eLearning • Proven experience in instructional education, training, and customer service preferred • Past success working independently as well as in a team situation while meeting aggressive deadlines • Experienced with web training/authoring tools and multimedia tools/players • Demonstrated high degree of collaboration and diplomacy as well as problem analysis and creative solutions • Demonstrated competence in designing and presenting Web Based courses • Proven knowledge of adult learning methods • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Products required • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of specific Epic modules and workflows; credentialed status preferred • Trust Delivers promised results, expects and helps others to do the same. • Is widely trusted and is seen as direct, truthful and authentic. • Chooses the right path even when it may be uncomfortable or difficult.
