Associate Creative Director, Copywriter

At Resource Innovations, we're excited to welcome an Associate Creative Director, Copywriter to join our in-house creative team! In this writer-first leadership role, you'll get to blend your knack for conceptual brilliance with brand stewardship and people management.

Your mission will be to enhance and unify our brand voice across various campaigns, digital platforms, and corporate communications. A key focus will involve amplifying our corporate storytelling — encompassing impactful campaign messaging, executive communication, thought leadership, press releases, and speaking engagements. You'll collaborate closely with our CEO and senior leadership to ensure that our external voice is not only compelling and credible but also aligned with our strategic growth goals.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to directly manage and mentor our talented copy team, setting high standards for craftsmanship while promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.

The perfect fit for this position will bring agency-level conceptual expertise, experience in navigating both creative and corporate landscapes, and a collaborative, resourceful attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Leadership & Concept Development

  • Partner with the Associate Creative Director (Design) to co-lead integrated campaign concepting across digital, video, social, and multi-channel platforms
  • Collaborate with design leadership to ensure ideas are holistically developed — visually and verbally aligned, strategically grounded
  • Write high-impact headlines, campaign copy, scripts, and brand messaging that are clear, distinctive, and effective
  • Translate business and marketing objectives into compelling creative ideas
  • Evolve and steward brand voice across all touchpoints
  • Uphold exceptional standards of craft, clarity, and effectiveness

Brand & Corporate Communications

  • Lead the evolution of Resource Innovations’ corporate voice across external communications
  • Elevate executive messaging, ensuring clarity, credibility, and strategic narrative alignment
  • Support thought leadership, press materials, internal communications, and speaking engagements
  • Ensure consistency between campaign-level messaging and broader corporate positioning
  • Distill complex subject matter into clear, persuasive storytelling that reinforces industry leadership

Team Leadership & Development

  • Directly manage and develop members of the copy team
  • Provide thoughtful, actionable feedback and performance guidance
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Lead by example, elevating the quality of writing through mentorship and craft

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with design, account teams, and senior leadership
  • Contribute meaningfully to creative briefs and strategic discussions
  • Present work confidently and articulate clear creative rationale
  • Build alignment across stakeholders while protecting creative integrity

Execution & Ownership

  • Oversee copy development from concept through final delivery
  • Ensure all work is polished, accurate, and strategically aligned
  • Manage multiple projects with varying complexity and timelines
  • Serve as the senior editorial authority for corporate and executive-level communications

Writing & Creative Expertise

  • 10+ years of copywriting experience, including significant agency experience
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign thinking, compelling ad copy, and short-form video scripts
  • Proven ability to craft, evolve, and steward brand voice
  • Experience writing for both consumer-facing campaigns and corporate communications
  • Ability to simplify complex subject matter into persuasive messaging
  • Experience partnering with C-suite leaders and translating strategy into compelling external narratives

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Experience managing and developing writers or creative team members
  • Strong coaching, feedback, and performance management skills

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position.  The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $125K- $135K. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.  The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
