Associate Director - Project Management - Optum Financial - Remote

<div>The Project Manager will focus on key payment and capital initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams internal to Optum Financial and in some instances teams across the broader UnitedHealth Group organization. As part of a shared services PMO supporting all of Optum Financial, this role will lead and support medium to large-scale projects, as well as smaller programs, to drive business growth and enable new product launches.<br/><br/>You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.<br/><br/><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong><br/><br/><ul><li> Independently lead multiple medium to large level initiatives within Optum Financial across multiple lines of business at the same time. Efforts may include internal/external partner management </li><li> Lead or contribute to the development of program or project scope statements, in consultation with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program/project charter, Statement of Work, Business Vision Document) </li><li> Ensure alignment and understanding of program/project scope and objectives with the organization's strategic objectives and the Voice of the Customer, in consultation with applicable impacted stakeholders and areas of business </li><li> Develop and deliver on all necessary project, communication and IRAAD mitigation plans across project and program level stakeholders in addition to executive leadership when necessary </li><li> Work directly with the cross functional teams to ensure delivery of a quality, high value add product (Includes but not limited to cross functional </li><li> Drive creation of schedule based on alignment by all impacted business teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery </li><li> Manage and deliver on status of projects as well as critical issues/risks, escalating to executive leadership when necessary </li></ul><br/><br/>You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.<br/><br/><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong><br/><br/><ul><li> 5+ years of proven program/project management experience </li><li> Proven expertise in a fintech organization with knowledge of HBA and commercial payments </li><li> Proven experience in fintech, healthcare payment products </li><li> Proven stakeholder management experience in leadership and decision-making roles </li><li> Proven experience working in a financial organization which is a large multinational company or similar environment </li><li> Highly proficient in MS Planner, MS Project, and MS standard application package </li><li> Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills </li></ul><br/><br/><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br/><br/><ul><li> Proven experience in fintech, healthcare payment products </li><li> Demonstrated knowledge of JIRA product discovery to maintain awareness on product and technology planning/delivery in a scaled agile environment </li><li> Demonstrated business acumen, customer facing mindset and/or relevant experience </li><li> Proven ability to operate flexibly in a rapidly changing work environment </li><li> Demonstrated solid analytical and problem-solving skills </li><li> Demonstrated solid organizational skills </li></ul><br/><br/>*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy<br/><br/>Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 to $193,200 annually based on full-time employment.
