Associate Product Manager - Auto Originations

JOB DESCRIPTION


Chase Auto is a leading provider of auto financing with a portfolio of more than $80 billion in assets and relationships with 75% of U.S. franchised automotive dealers. The business is part of the JPMorganChase franchise and serves auto dealers, consumers, and vehicle manufacturers. As an Associate Product Manager in Auto Originations, you will be in a pivotal role responsible for transforming user challenges into innovative solutions through design thinking. This role requires deep collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data, design, and engineering, to thoroughly understand the scope and impact of the problems at hand. The Associate Product Manager works closely with the Product Manager to streamline delivery processes and enhance efficiency.

Job responsibilities

  • Understand user problems, convert them into problem statements, and provide out-of-the-box solutions through design thinking.
  • Work with data, design, and engineering teams to conduct appropriate discovery and understand the depth and breadth of the problem to be solved.
  • Develop a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and deliver value to the business.
  • Support the Product Manager to execute key delivery tasks and identify ways to boost efficiency.
  • Contribute to the end-to-end ownership of features from ideation through implementation, maintenance, and support.
  • Help write user stories, acceptance criteria, and participate in all agile events of the product group.
  • Collaborate with other product teams, technical architects, developers, and tech leads to understand the technology roadmap for modernization.
  • Prepare detailed test cases and expected results to perform both Functional and User Acceptance Testing.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new skills, technologies, and business concepts.
  • Grit and determination to overcome obstacles and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Internship or project experience in product management, technology, automotive, or finance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
  • Interest in technology and/or banking.
