Summary:

Come join Beal Bank’s thriving retail banking team! The Branch Manager is responsible for directing branch operations, ensuring quality customer service and employee growth and development. Branch Managers work closely through daily hands-on work in systems and with customers. They are accountable for financial performance, customer satisfaction and the overall professional and efficient operation of the banking center. In this leadership position, you will ensure all bank policies, procedures and regulatory compliance are adhered to on a daily basis through effective communications, strong product knowledge and a friendly, responsive approach. Rather than focus on sales goals, Beal Bank is known for our competitive rates, secure growth and great service. The position may include other duties as directed by the Manager.


This position is based at the Beal Bank Tampa location with working hours from 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday.


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
(Include but are not limited to):

  • Manage branch team members, including training, mentoring and development; monitoring, evaluating and coaching performance; scheduling, prioritizing and delegating work; and handling disciplinary action in a timely manner
  • Required leadership and hands-on involvement in the branch’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) activities, including participation, management and monitoring of volunteer time during business hours with qualifying organizations, ensuring all mandatory monthly metrics for the branch are consistently met
  • Oversee day to day operations of the branch, providing guidance and engagement in daily operational and customer service activities
  • Audit and verify new account paperwork and maintenance transactions performed by team members
  • Promote a positive image of the bank, developing and maintaining effective relationships with customers, team members and other retail operations staff
  • Address and resolve complex customer service issues and team member disputes
  • Perform and review tasks requiring manager level approvals
  • Serve as a liaison between the branch and corporate departments
  • Ensures the security and safety of branch team members and customers
  • Approves and submit invoices
  • Ensures branch appearance, furniture and equipment are in optimal condition
  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned


Qualifications (Education, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):

  • 2-4 years of banking experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving and relationship management skills with the ability to convey a positive attitude and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy and tact
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong practical knowledge of banking products, policies, procedures, regulatory guidelines and market trends
  • Strong attention to detail with high concern for data accuracy
  • Excellent organizational skills with proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities and projects in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Solid technology skills, including ability to navigate and search related websites and proficiency with Microsoft office
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and achieve results through working together
  • Overnight and out of town travel is possible
