This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate with a Master’s or PhD to apply for advanced training in bioinformatics, computational biology, and data analysis in a collaborative research environment. As a Bioinformatics Scientist, you will collaborate closely with our research scientists and data analysts, contributing to high-impact projects that involve complex data interpretation and algorithm development.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p><b>Advanced Data Analysis</b>: Perform sophisticated analysis of genomic datasets using state-of-the-art bioinformatics tools and pipelines.</p></li><li><p><b>Algorithm Development and Optimization</b>: Develop, refine, and implement algorithms for data processing, including sequence alignment, variant calling, gene expression analysis, and network biology.</p></li><li><p><b>Software Development</b>: Contribute to the development and enhancement of bioinformatics software tools and pipelines, ensuring they meet the research needs of the team.</p></li><li><p><b>Collaborative Research</b>: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing bioinformatics expertise to support ongoing research projects and studies.</p></li><li><p><b>Data Interpretation and Reporting</b>: Analyze and interpret complex biological data, preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p></li><li><p><b>Literature Review and Research</b>: Stay abreast of the latest bioinformatics methodologies and advancements, integrating new approaches into ongoing projects.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Master’s degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics, or computer science.</p></li><li><p>2 or more years of experience in programming languages Python, R, Perl, or Java.</p></li><li><p>2 or more years of experience in bioinformatics, or computational biology.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications</b></p><ul><li><p>Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, genetics, or computer science.</p></li><li><p>2 or more years of experience with machine learning or AI applications in biology.</p></li><li><p>2 or more years of experience with high-throughput sequencing data and bioinformatics tools like BLAST, GATK, or Bowtie.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional Job Standards</b></p><ul><li><p>Demonstrated ability to analyze large, complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.</p></li><li><p>Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.</p></li><li><p>Ability to convey complex technical information to both scientific and non-scientific audiences.</p></li><li><p>Ability to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation skills.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Application window open through: </b>06/09/2026</p><p></p><p><b>Pay Range: </b>$90k - $105k (USD)</p><p>All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">applicable degrees/certifications, as</span> well as internal equity and market data.</p><p></p><p><b>Benefits: </b>Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
