Board Certified Behavior Analyst (2026-2027 School Year)

DUTIES:

Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst for the 2026-2027 school year.

Duties of position, include, but are not limited to:

  • The ability and willingness to train teachers, teacher assistants and teacher aides in appropriate presentation of instruction and progression of student behavior.
  • The ability and willingness to model appropriate techniques that support positive classroom behavior.
  • Provide support to teams as it pertains to FBA/BIP process.
  • Provide regular meetings with staff members to review behavior tracking, data collections procedures, current data and instruction of skill acquisition.
  • Coordinate with staff to develop a treatment plan, provide general support for families, conduct classroom observations and provide written and informal feedback.
  • Respond to student crisis situations as needed.
  • Work closely with administration and support staff to promote a successful and a safe learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have BCBA certification and NYS Certification as a School Social Worker, School Psychologist, School Counselor, or Special Education Certification to be considered.


CHARACTERISTICS DESIRED:

Must be well-organized and possess outstanding verbal communication, writing skills, strong listening skills and the ability to build positive, collaborative working relationships. Must have strong technology skills. Successful candidates must have a positive, can-do attitude and be committed to the PNW BOCES Mission of Service and Innovation through Partnership.
