Job Title: Construction Estimator

Rate: 1500 – 1600 AUD per month

Schedule: 40 hours; full time

About the Client:

The client has a diverse portfolio encompasses a wide spectrum ofconstruction endeavors, including fit-outs, refurbishments, new builds, facaderestorations, modular construction, and sustainable spaces for industries, suchas commercial, government, Defense, education, retail, hospitality, and hotels.The team has successfully completed over 30 projects since inception.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Advise Managing Director of suitable tenderpackages.
  • To estimate the value of a project beingtendered as part of Business Development
  • Communicate with design consultant to obtaindesign input for design and construct proposal
  • Full responsibility of tender process fromreceipt to submission of tender including preparation of tender letter andschedules
  • Ensure tender responses conform with tenderrequirements
  • Ensure tender responses submitted withinspecified timeframes
  • Assist with collation of tender responses
  • Issue of tender packages to subcontractors,consultants, suppliers etc.
  • Evaluate Subcontractors quotations received foraccuracy and completeness.
  • Communicate with Subcontractors to engageinterest and ensure the scope of subcontractor quotations complies with tenderrequirements.
  • Establish and maintain tendering process andnegotiations
  • Complete Tender with sufficient time forManagement review no less than three (3) days before tender due date.

·Training of Cadets where applicable

  • For successful tenders collate and handover allrelevant information to project team, including initial budget
  • Ensure major suppliers and subcontractoragreements are in place where necessary and hand over all details to projectteam
  • Assist project team with pricing claims andvariations

Other Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Review unsuccessful tenders to identifyopportunities for improvement.
  • Develop cost plans and tenders for projectopportunities.
  • Coordinate final tender documentation o Delegatedocumented tender requirements for the tender submission.
  • Assess tender risks including but not limitedto:

  • Participate in internal and external auditsrelating to tender processes.
