A career as a Business Development Representative (BDR) will provide you with the opportunity to connect with various stakeholders to uncover their pain points around reporting solutions and how Clearwater can alleviate their stresses. With the use of advanced technology, you and your team will generate prospective customers through cold-calling, email, and multichannel sales activities, including videos and events. You will learn sales best practices and how to use company tools (Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) to successfully source new meetings and assist with the growth of Clearwater!

How you will contribute:

  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs

  • Source and arrange business meetings with prospective clients

  • Promote the company’s products/services while addressing or predicting clients’ objectives

  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

  • Create and maintain client information in our CRM database

  • Collaborate with and become an apprentice to closers in supporting deals as they move through the sales funnel

  • Display an eagerness to build and execute a sales pipeline through multiple forms of communication, including cold calls, emails, videos, and events

Who you are:

  • 1+ years’ experience in a Business Development or Inside Sales role

  • Track record of attaining and exceeding targets

  • Excellent relationship building and management skills

  • Competitiveness – passion & drive

  • Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to be a team player while also making independent decisions

  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office

Desired experience and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting

  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM databases

Salary Range

$48,000 - $62,000 USD Annual


This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health/vision/dental insurance, 401(k), PTO, parental leave, and medical leave, STD/LTD insurance benefits.
