Excess Buyer - East Coast USA (Remote) We’re looking for a dynamic Excess Buyer to join our Purchasing team, working remotely across the West Coast. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in sourcing and purchasing excess inventory while helping drive revenue growth across the region. In this role, you will actively prospect new suppliers, build long-term relationships, and identify market opportunities to convert into profitable deals. It’s well-suited to someone who is commercially minded, proactive, and relationship driven. Key Responsibilities • Develop and grow a strong pipeline of excess inventory suppliers (OEMs, EMS, distributors) within your region • Proactively source new vendors through outreach, networking, referrals, and industry events • Build and maintain long-term strategic supplier relationships • Source, negotiate, and purchase electronic and mechanical components in line with margin targets • Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring strong communication and follow-up • Maintain accurate supplier and deal data in ERP/CRM systems • Drive account growth across revenue, gross profit, and engagement • Identify and execute speculative buying opportunities based on market demand (shortage / EOL / LTB) • Collaborate closely with Sales to align inventory with customer demand • Review excess BOMs to identify cost savings and margin opportunities • Analyze market trends to identify high-value or constrained components • Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements • Track goods ordered, received, and in transit • Provide regular updates on pipeline, deals, and vendor activity Required Experience & Skills • 3–5+ years in procurement, excess inventory, or semiconductor distribution • Strong understanding of the electronics supply chain (OEM, EMS, distribution) • Proven experience in vendor prospecting and relationship building • Commercial mindset with strong negotiation and closing skills • Advanced Excel capabilities (analysis, pricing, data handling) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English required) • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment Preferred • Existing network within OEMs / EMS / distributors in the region • Experience with shortage, EOL, or LTB components • Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems This role offers the chance to be part of a high-performing team where everyone contributes meaningful value, both to the business and to customers.
