Certified Public Accountant

Twenty8Tech (A Redhawk Company) has an immediate opening for a CPA/Cost Accountant with ERP experience. Interested candidates must have demonstrated at least 7 years of work experience and 3 years of DOD financial management experience in a leadership role as a cost accountant, analyst, or relevant role in real-time tracking and reporting costs associated with IT products and processes, scrutinizing IT product line expenses, maintaining service catalog costs and published rates, budgeting, reconciliation, maximizing value, agile innovation accounting, and capital expenses (CapEx) and operating expenses (OpEx).

Requirments

Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Must be a U.S. Citizen (no exceptions)

Must have an active Secret-level Security Clearance (no exceptions)

Must live within commuting distance to DARPA HQ in Arlington, VA The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Lead the design, implementation, and management of an enterprise ledger-based accounting solution within a major DOD component (MSFT Dynamics ERP System).
  2. Collect and organize financial data and metadata into a database or accounting solution
  3. Understand and track CapEx, depreciation, and OpEx for multiple value streams in a scaled agile portfolio
  4. Integration of multiple systems and data sources into the enterprise accounting solution
  5. Determine and recommend best approaches to seat-based vs variable cost-based chargeback models
  6. Determine and calculate formulas for fixed and variable costs, such as operations and maintenance, capital expenditures, contracts, and intra-department agreements
  7. Plan and track spending and prepare reports for multiple DARPA technical and support offices
  8. Prepare cost forecasts for monthly, quarterly, or annual operating schedules
  9. Analyze month-end, quarterly, and year-end reports to identify and recommend cost-effective improvements

  10. Supporting financial audits
  11. Balance sheet and Profit and Loss Statement preparation
  12. Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  13. Demonstrated understanding of lean budgeting and innovation accounting in a scaled agile environment
  14. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
  15. Familiarity with DOD accounting practices
  16. Computer literacy skills, especially with MS Excel and basic data entry and computation
  17. Analytical skills with a keen sense of organization and detail
  18. Proven time management skills and ability to work under strict deadline
