Job Summary:

ProTech Metal Works, a leading innovator in precision metal fabrication and industrial solutions, is seeking a skilled Certified TIG and MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional passionate about welding high-quality metal components with precision and efficiency. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects ranging from structural fabrication to custom metalwork, ensuring all welding meets industry standards and safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on a variety of metals including stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
  • Prepare metals for welding by cutting, grinding, and fitting components as required.
  • Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Maintain welding equipment, tools, and workplace in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
  • Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to meet production deadlines.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company regulations.
  • Troubleshoot welding issues and implement corrective measures promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certification in TIG and MIG welding from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques for different metals.
  • Ability to operate welding equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality welds.
  • Physical stamina to handle demanding welding tasks in various positions (standing, kneeling, overhead).

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a TIG and MIG welder in a fabrication or industrial setting.
  • Prior experience working on structural, industrial, or custom metal projects is preferred.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
