Job Summary

CloudSecure is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cloud Security Intern specializing in AWS Security to join our dynamic cloud security team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure, security best practices, and threat mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will gain practical experience in monitoring, analyzing, and securing AWS environments while contributing to real-world projects that impact the organization’s cloud security posture.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the monitoring, auditing, and management of AWS cloud environments to ensure security compliance.
  • Support the implementation of cloud security best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist in identifying potential security threats or risks.
  • Collaborate with senior cloud security engineers to configure and maintain security tools such as AWS IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and CloudTrail.
  • Analyze security alerts, generate reports, and participate in incident response activities.
  • Document processes, findings, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud security trends, AWS service updates, and emerging threats.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly AWS services.
  • Familiarity with cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security in cloud environments.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Experience

  • This is an internship position, open to students or recent graduates in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
  • Prior exposure to cloud platforms or cybersecurity projects is preferred but not mandatory.

Working Hours

  • Flexible work schedule with a commitment of 20–25 hours per week.
  • Option to work remotely or from our office, depending on availability.
