You will partner directly with laboratory leaders and executive stakeholders to support operational optimization, sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and workflow improvement initiatives.</p><p></p><p>This position requires deep laboratory operational knowledge, strong executive communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex client engagements simultaneously. The ideal candidate brings credibility within the laboratory space, thrives in a consultative environment, and can translate operational challenges into actionable recommendations.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Lead laboratory-focused consulting engagements that support operational, sourcing, and strategic client objectives.</p></li><li><p>Facilitate executive-level client discussions, presentations, and advisory conversations that drive decision-making.</p></li><li><p>Advise clients on laboratory operational improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, sourcing strategies, vendor management, and contract negotiations.</p></li><li><p>Conduct and support RFP processes for laboratory equipment, consumables, and services.</p></li><li><p>Serve as a trusted advisor to laboratory leadership teams across diverse healthcare environments.</p></li><li><p>Interpret operational and analytical data to develop actionable recommendations and influence client outcomes.</p></li><li><p>Lead and manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, including priorities, timelines, scope, resources, and deliverables.</p></li><li><p>Mentor and guide less experienced consultants on data analysis, storytelling, consulting methodologies, and best practices.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate cross-functionally to support client deliverables, strategic initiatives, and business objectives.</p></li><li><p>Support business development activities, including proposal development, solution design, sales support, and identification of follow-on opportunities.</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the enhancement of consulting tools, methodologies, intellectual capital, and best practices.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><p></p><ul><li><p>Relevant degree preferred (e.g., Medical Technology (Med Tech)).  MBA, MHA, or advanced healthcare/business degree desired.</p></li><li><p>7 or more years of relevant experience required. (e.g., healthcare / laboratory operations)</p></li><li><p>Healthcare advisory, sourcing, or operational consulting experience preferred.</p></li><li><p>Project management experience preferred.</p></li><li><p>Experience working across multiple laboratory environments or health systems strongly preferred.</p></li><li><p>Strong client-facing consulting and executive communication skills.</p></li><li><p>Experience facilitating presentations and strategic discussions with leadership stakeholders.</p></li><li><p>Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.</p></li><li><p>Strong problem-solving, organizational, and relationship management skills.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint.</p></li><li><p>Willingness to travel.</p></li></ul><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><u><b>Estimated Hiring Range:</b></u></p>At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances.
