Coordinator, e-Learning & LMS

About the position Responsible for the day-to-day management and optimization of AGA's Learning Management System (LMS) while providing administrative support to the Education Strategy & Member Initiatives department. This dual-focus position ensures seamless delivery of digital learning experiences and provides operational backbone for the department's educational programs including DDSEP, APP certification, and intestinal ultrasound initiatives. The position requires both technical expertise in eLearning platforms and strong organizational skills to coordinate complex program logistics. Responsibilities • Manage and administer AGA's Learning Management System (LMS), including user management, content uploads, course configuration, and system maintenance • Develop and implement strategies to increase learner engagement and LMS utilization across AGA's educational portfolio • Create and manage online educational content, including course modules, assessments, and multimedia materials using eLearning authoring tools • Build online curriculum modules for the Intestinal Ultrasound program, working closely with clinical faculty and program leadership • Support DDSEP production activities, particularly LMS-related components and digital content delivery • Generate and analyze reports on learner engagement, course completion rates, and program metrics to inform program improvements • Troubleshoot technical issues and serve as first point of contact for LMS user support • Maintain content library and ensure materials are current, properly organized, and comply with accessibility standards • Stay current on eLearning trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance digital learning experiences • Coordinate webinar setup, virtual event coordination, and technical support for online educational programming • Provide administrative support to the Education Strategy & Member Initiatives team including inbox management, meeting coordination, materials preparation, and calendar management • Utilize WorkZone project management software to track tasks, deadlines, and deliverables across department initiatives • Coordinate faculty logistics for educational activities including correspondence, speaker forms, and materials distribution • Maintain filing systems for educational activities in accordance with AGA policy and ACCME requirements • Maintain CME credit tracking database, input CME data, and respond to CME credit requests and learner inquiries • Support program logistics including scheduling, communications, and coordination with cross-functional teams • Process invoices, check requests, and travel reimbursements for the department • Provide research, writing, and editing support for needs assessments and evaluation reports • Execute additional projects commensurate with position and qualifications • Participate in departmental planning and process improvement initiatives Requirements • 3-5 years of experience with Learning Management Systems and eLearning platforms (required) • Demonstrated ability to create engaging online educational content using eLearning authoring tools • Bachelor's degree required • Strong administrative and coordination skills with ability to manage multiple projects and priorities • Proficiency with project management software (WorkZone experience a plus) • Strong technical aptitude and comfort learning new systems and technologies • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams) • Professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment • Some travel may be required Nice-to-haves • Experience with SCORM, xAPI, or other eLearning standards (preferred) • Familiarity with graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia) a plus • Experience in medical education, healthcare, continuing education, or association environment preferred Benefits • We care about our core values: innovative, engaged, collaborative, open, inclusive. • We value work-life balance and provide generous time off. • Market competitive compensation plus 7% employer contribution to retirement plan. • Remote/ or hybrid work environment. • Comprehensive health care benefits at a reasonable cost.
