About The Role

We are looking for a superstar who is strongly aligned with the mission to redefine investing and empower people to build their long-term wealth. In this role, you will lead the Malaysia country business as well as the local office in KL.

You are passionate about the service delivered to our clients on and off-APP. You will lead a dynamic team to deliver growth in Malaysia. This involves setting the growth strategy for MY, leading business development & a high-performing team, and developing relationship with the regulator. Closely collaborating with functional and regional colleagues, you will grow StashAway’s business in line with the company’s vision and ambitious growth targets.

You should be a natural leader, highly capable of influencing and driving decisions with an analytical and goal based approach. Your communication skills will be exceptional with proven ability to coach, support and inspire beyond your direct reports. In this role, you will be the voice and ambassador of our business and operations in Malaysia.

Externally, you are the face of StashAway in Malaysia and will be responsible for building partnerships and relationships with public and private stakeholders. This role is also media-facing and you should be a comfortable public speaker.

Responsibilities

Malaysia Business

  • Develop and implement the business growth strategy for Malaysia, leveraging market insights, internal data, and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product to achieve AUM growth, customer acquisition, and retention goals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operationalisation of quarterly and yearly plans with direct reports and teams you collaborate with.
  • Identify and act on new business opportunities, including partnerships and product innovations, to enhance our competitive position.
  • Drive initiatives to differentiate the customer experience and expand market share.
  • Represent the brand and our house investment view at all external engagement.
Performance Leadership
  • Lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Culture Leadership
  • As the senior most member in office, lead the StashAway culture in the KL office for all 100+ employees.
  • Drive site-wide engagement with P&C of the right culture-building initiatives that align the KL office with global values, ensuring the hub feels like a singular, unified team.
  • Senior presence & mentorship: Serve as a visible, accessible leader on the floor, providing guidance and professional development to emerging talent across all functions.
  • Crisis & site management: Act as the ultimate point of escalation for local operational issues, office safety, and site-specific policy decisions.

  • Has meaningful experience in fintech, digital financial services, or regulated platforms.
