Description:

  • Work with merchants ranging from venture-backed startups to established institutions.
  • Complete in-depth credit reviews throughout the merchant lifecycle to identify credit concerns.
  • Investigate, triage, and respond to escalations across multiple channels in a timely manner.
  • Own operational processes such as credit reviews and urgent risk-related escalations with clear documentation.
  • Identify risk factors and trends and report them to the wider risk team.
  • Use analytics to optimize portfolio-wide strategies.
  • Maintain regular communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Identify gaps in current systems, policies, and strategies and recommend process improvements.
  • Lead team workstreams related to credit decisioning and accuracy and provide updates in business reviews.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience with a solid understanding of general commercial credit principles.
  • 1+ years of experience leading risk-related projects or initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience using data to propose creative solutions to tactical and strategic problems.
  • Creativity, a team-focused mentality, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and desire to question the status quo.
  • Ability to approach challenges from a user perspective while remaining pragmatic and solutions-oriented.
  • Deep empathy for entrepreneurs and motivation to solve problems that empower them.
  • Experience designing credit/risk workflows, analyst tooling, and procedural workflows (preferred).
