UrbanMetal Studio, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality custom metal furniture, is seeking a skilled Custom Furniture Welder to join our creative and dynamic workshop team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling unique, precision-engineered metal furniture pieces, ensuring top-notch quality, durability, and artistic appeal. Key Responsibilities

  • Weld and assemble custom furniture pieces according to detailed blueprints and design specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, measurements, and design schematics to deliver precise metalwork.
  • Operate welding equipment, grinders, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
  • Select appropriate metals, tools, and welding techniques based on project requirements.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure high-quality standards and durability.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
  • Collaborate with designers, project managers, and other team members to meet project timelines.
  • Identify and troubleshoot welding or fabrication issues promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a welder, preferably in custom furniture or metal fabrication.
  • Strong proficiency in MIG, TIG, and arc welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Solid understanding of metal properties, cutting, and finishing techniques.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to producing aesthetically appealing and structurally sound work.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle heavy materials and long working hours.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–4 years of professional welding experience in furniture fabrication, metalwork, or related fields.
  • Experience in custom or artistic metal fabrication is highly preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position: 40–45 hours per week.
  • Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends depending on project deadlines.
  • Flexibility for overtime during peak production periods.
