We’ve created 30,000 pieces of custom jewelry and helped 12,000 couples get engaged, but we’re still just getting started reshaping the jewelry industry. </p><p>As our business continues to grow, we are looking for additional Custom Jewelry Project Managers to join our team of around 30.</p> <p><strong><u>ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY </u></strong></p> <p>Our offering is built on a one-on-one, specialized, and custom design experience and service. As a Custom Jewelry Project Manager you’ll be at the heart of that, working with customers from initial request all the way to a fully designed one of a kind piece. You’ll be the face of our company to the customer, coordinating with our designers, gem experts, and production specialists to help design and create their dream ring. </p> <p>In this role, you’ll be evaluated primarily on your ability to connect with customers, coordinate design and gem selection, and effectively execute the customer’s design vision. Each project you handle will be unique and require creativity, discretion, and independent judgment. Our customers are at the heart of our process and, as a Custom Jewelry Project Manager, you’ll be an integral part of both their success and ours. <br></p> <p><strong><u>A typical day would include things like: </u></strong></p> <p><strong>Building and maintaining customer relationships: </strong></p> <ul><li>Work closely with new and existing customers through online messaging.</li><li>Manage ongoing relationships with existing customers and support on their future projects </li></ul> <p><strong>Sharing design and material expertise: </strong></p> <ul><li>Understand key customer preferences to bring their design ideas to life </li><li>Make thoughtful design and material recommendations that align with the customer’s priorities</li><li>Coordinate with our technical teams to successfully translate the customer’s vision into a manufacturable design <ul><li>Present concept sketches and 3D renderings to customers, answering questions and receiving feedback for subsequent revisions </li><li>Communicate design revisions to our CAD designers and concept sketch artists</li><li>Share and discuss diamond or gem options</li></ul></li></ul> <p><strong>Managing the overall success of your projects: </strong></p> <ul><li>Approach each project individually to make the design and development process fun and easy for the customer based on their needs and working style </li><li>Create and present quotes for customers that fit their budget and design requirements</li><li>Plan and manage project timelines with consideration of sketch, CAD, and manufacturing to ensure deadlines are met</li><li>Handle all post-production related correspondence, including resizing, repairs, maintenance, and customer satisfaction.</li></ul> <p><strong>Contributing to internal development: </strong></p> <ul><li>Review communication techniques, technical guidance, and project strategy feedback with your manager </li><li>Experiment with new approaches and resources with the guidance of your manager</li><li>Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other Project Managers and cross functional partners </li></ul> <p>We are open to in-office candidates (Cambridge, MA) and remote candidates. Our business is fully online, so no in-office presence is required. </p> <p></p> <p><strong><u>COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: </u></strong></p> <ul><li>Competitive base compensation + added commission </li><li>$65,000- $68,000/yr total on-target earnings <ul><li>$45,000/yr base compensation + commission of 4.5% of sales </li></ul></li><li>This is a full-time role with full benefits (health, vision, dental) </li><li>401k match </li><li>Employee jewelry discount </li><li>Holidays and paid time off </li><li>Standard business hours, Monday-Friday schedule </li></ul> <p></p> <p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & ABILITIES </u></strong></p> <ul><li>Excellent written communication skills, ability to communicate clearly with personality through written text </li><li>Client-facing experience in sales, hospitality, luxury retail, or account management</li><li>A passion for jewelry and design and an interest in the creative development process</li><li>Discerning visual taste </li><li>Resourcefulness - the ability to make good decisions in the absence of perfect information</li><li>Preferred but not required <ul><li>A track record of achieving strong sales results </li><li>Experience in fine jewelry sales </li><li>Technical experience as a jewelry designer, bench jeweler, or artist </li><li>Graduate Gemologist degree or previous Gemological Institute of America (GIA) course work </li><li>Bachelor’s degree from a competitive college/university </li></ul></li></ul> <p><strong>Interested in this role but don’t meet all the requirements listed?
