This role drives execution of retail fundamentals and partners closely with customers to achieve mutual growth objectives. Success in this position requires strong commercial acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and disciplined execution. Ideal candidate would have the ability to travel with frequency up to 25%. The <strong>Customer Business Manager I- Account Manager </strong>will report to the <strong>CBM II.</strong><br/><br/><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br/><ul><li>Develop and execute customer and distributor business plans aligned to volume and profitability objectives.</li><li>Implement strategies across promotion, pricing, distribution, shelving schematics, and category management for multiple McCormick brands.</li><li>Present customer plans and lead execution to ensure achievement of volume and distribution targets.</li><li>Optimize product assortment and mix to expand distribution and improve overall performance.</li><li>Manage direct and broker relationships to ensure alignment and flawless marketplace execution.</li><li>Oversee trade promotion investments and ensure effective utilization of trade spend.</li><li>Travel overnight as business needs require.</li></ul><br/><br/><strong>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong><br/><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of sales, marketing, or related experience</li><li>Solid understanding of CPG industry sector and competitive landscape</li><li>Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>Strong negotiation, influencing, and leadership capabilities.</li><li>Proficiency in standard business and analytical tools.</li><li>Understanding of how Sales integrates with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance functions.</li><li>Analytical mindset and in-depth understanding of Circana and consumer insight driven business planning </li><li>Travel as needed, including overnight travel, to support customer meetings, field engagement, and industry events. Up to 25%.</li><li>Valid driver's license with clean driving record</li></ul><br/><br/><strong>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</strong><br/><ul><li>Advanced knowledge of McCormick product portfolio, product mix optimization, and profit drivers.</li><li>At least 1 year managing customer accounts.</li><li>Understanding of retail execution standards, store conditions, and industry best practices.</li><li>Experience across non-traditional grocery channels (e.g., eCommerce, alternative distribution).</li><li>Experience leveraging syndicated data for customer insights and decision-making.</li></ul><br/><br/><strong>Location Requirments: </strong><br/><ul><li>Eastern half of the US with a preference for Hunt Valley or Chicago location.</li></ul><br/>#LI-SM1<br/><br/>Base Salary: $87,910 - $153,870<br/><br/>Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick's Sales Incentive Bonus (SIB) Plan.
