Job Summary

DataMinds is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Science Intern to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Python and R, along with a passion for extracting actionable insights from complex datasets. This internship offers hands-on experience in real-world data science projects, allowing you to develop analytical, programming, and problem-solving skills while contributing to impactful business decisions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources.
  • Develop statistical models and predictive algorithms using Python and R.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Visualize data effectively to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with senior data scientists and cross-functional teams on ongoing projects.
  • Document methodologies, analyses, and results in a clear and organized manner.
  • Assist in the development and deployment of machine learning models.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python and R programming.
  • Strong understanding of statistics, probability, and data analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with data visualization libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, ggplot2, or Plotly.
  • Knowledge of SQL and database management is a plus.
  • Understanding of machine learning algorithms and model evaluation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.

Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Prior internship or project experience in data analysis, machine learning, or related areas is preferred but not mandatory.

Working Hours

  • Full-time internship: 40 hours/week (flexible working hours available).
  • Duration: 3–6 months, with potential for extension based on performance.
  • Remote and hybrid options available, depending on candidate location and project requirements.

  • Ability to handle and manipulate large datasets efficiently.
