Join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering innovative medical solutions that make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.</p><div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Position Summary</b></h2> </div><div><p>The Director Clinical Affairs, Interventional reports to the VP Clinical and Medical Affairs, Interventional and is responsible for managing all Clinical Affairs activities and programs and aligning those activities to the business goals, resources, and practice standards within the Interventional business unit on an ongoing basis.  Working closely with the Medical Director and leaders from the Commercial team, the Director will take a central role in setting education strategy and in forecasting and costing those activities during the strategic planning cycle and as otherwise required. With a goal of optimizing patient outcomes through education, the Director will also work with Commercial leaders to build, collect, and report metrics describing the effectiveness, reach, and impact on patient care.  This individual will lead the Clinical Affairs team for the Americas and serve as a partner and resource for Directors in OUS regions to support and align global initiatives as appropriate.  <br>This position requires the demonstrated ability to coordinate and collaborate among multiple internal stakeholders at all levels, including the ability to partner with key stakeholders in Marketing, Sales, R&D, Compliance, Legal, and Regulatory Affairs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to troubleshoot medical device applications in a cardiology clinical setting, are necessary. Strong leadership and organizational skills are required, with an aptitude for motivating clinicians and providing clinical support to all Teleflex employees. Developing and leading a Clinical Affairs team that is defined by its product and content expertise, the Director must themselves have previously demonstrated deep clinically-oriented expertise in previous roles.<br>Teleflex People Managers use Leadership, Clinical Acumen, and Business Acumen to lead and develop their Clinical Medical Affairs team to consistently deliver high-value results and capability. They must be well-planned and organized situational leaders and decision makers who use data, compassion, and accountability to develop a culture of teamwork and results.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Principal Responsibilities</b></h2> </div><div><p>•    In coordination with the Commercial team, direct planning, execution, and reporting of the Interventional clinical education programs in North America across all four product franchises (Coronary, Structural Heart, Mechanical Circulatory Support, and Interventional Oncology) that drive safe and effective use of Teleflex Interventional products.<br>•    Lead and develop a high-performing team of clinical content experts by defining department and team goals, hiring, team development, mentoring and performance management. <br>o    Develops a strategic plan <br>o    Identifies, executes, and delivers CMA tactics on time and budget <br>o    Monitor, maintain, and report monthly CMA activities <br>o    Identify, hire, develop, and talent to support gaps<br>o    Identify and assign specific occasional responsibilities of Clinical Affairs team members to support the needs of Medical Affairs in areas of patient safety, evidence generation, new product development, Advisory Boards, and Corporate Development <br>•    In partnership with the Medical Director, manage or support scientific exchange with health care professionals and medical societies, consistently ensuring Clinical and Medical Affairs are the internal content experts for these exchanges, including<br>o    pre-conference & in-booth educational programs<br>o    meetings with scientific committees</p> <p>o   Education grant support <br>o    Research grant support (in collaboration with the Global Research & Scientific Services) <br>•    Scientific and Medical Advisory Boards<br>•    Provide or delegate clinical expertise for the creation or editing of marketing materials and support the approval process of these materials in MARCOM/Agile.<br>•    Manage Off-label support for Teleflex products in accordance with Teleflex policy & local legal regulations. <br>•    Oversee the compliant engagement of Health Care Professionals by the Clinical Affairs team in accordance with Teleflex HCP Engagement Policies<br>o    Contractor management in the provision of educational programs<br>o    SME/KOL engagements<br>o    FMV review & legal agreements in collaboration with CMA Coordinator and HCP policy<br>•    Identify, recruit & retain Clinical Educators (CEs)<br>o    Coordinate the development and training of the CE team <br>o    Monitor the effectiveness of the CEs by developing competencies, evaluating CEs based on them, and continually monitoring compliance with Teleflex policies.<br>o    In collaboration with the Interventional Sales and Marketing Leadership, the Director is responsible for the alignment of the CMA NA Annual Operating Plan with the BU objectives and ensuring tactical implementation<br>o    Ensure the Clinical Affairs team’s currency with respect to relevant medical literature, clinical initiatives/guidelines, and industry trends, and communicate this knowledge internally.<br>•    Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex Medical’s Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures, and housekeeping standards<br>•    Responsibilities may occasionally extend outside the specified region, including international locations.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><h2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px"><b>Education / Experience Requirements</b></h2> </div><div><p>•    Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required. Prefer a focus in life science or a similar field.<br>•    Current or previous professional medical licensure, such as RN/BSN, RCIS, RT, or MD, preferred.<br>•    Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory experience preferred.
