As these organizations race towards building gigawatt-scale data centers, this technically-oriented business leader will help solve for challenges in grid availability, power quality, energy resilience and offer/negotiate use of bankable and reliable Canadian Solar critical power infrastructure products ranging from natural gas generation (turbine and reciprocating gensets) and utility-scale battery energy storage (BESS) to power conversion and controls — deployed as integrated, turnkey solutions that include off-grid and “bridge” power plants (natural gas generation paired with BESS) capable of energizing data center loads ahead of permanent grid capacity. We are seeking a candidate with technical fluency in the data center energy value chain. <span>In</span> <span>this</span> <span>role,</span> <span>you</span> <span>will</span> <span>lead</span> <span>commercial</span> <span>engagements</span> <span>with</span> <span>Tier</span> <span>1</span> <span>Hyperscalers</span> <span>(AWS,</span> <span>Google,</span> <span>Meta,</span> <span>Microsoft,</span> <span>Oracle), </span>understanding their complex power system requirements that can be served by our power solution offering (selling our reliability, efficiency, power quality and speed-to-market capabilities). You will engage directly with Data Center Architects, Electrical Engineers, Procurement Leaders, and Infrastructure Owner/Operators to structure deals that solve their most pressing data center power challenges.</p><p></p><h2><span>Responsibilities:</span></h2><p></p><ul><li><b>Hyperscale Account Strategy: </b>Map the decision-making matrix within Hyperscale organizations, connecting with stakeholders in Energy Procurement, Site Selection, and Critical Infrastructure Engineering.</li><li><b>Solution Structuring: </b>Orchestrate complex deals that may involve multiple technologies, including natural gas generation (turbine and reciprocating gensets, including mobile/bridge units), battery storage (BESS), and power conversion, ensuring they meet strict SLA and grid interconnection requirements.</li><li><b>Bridge & Off-Grid Power Delivery: </b>Develop and structure interim and off-grid power solutions — including mobile/bridge gensets and natural gas + BESS hybrid microgrids with blackstart capability — that bring data center capacity online ahead of, or independent of, utility interconnection.</li><li><b>Gas Generation Sourcing & Partnerships: </b>Leverage and expand relationships across the natural gas generation supply chain — OEMs and packagers, dealers, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">rental/temporary-power</span> providers, and aftermarket service networks — to assemble competitive, deliverable solutions and manage equipment lead times.</li><li><b>Technical Consultative Selling: </b>Participate in high-level technical sales engagements. You are expected to white-board basic power architectures with customer engineering teams, demonstrating how our solutions can ensure uptime for these critical sites.</li></ul></div><p></p><p> </p><div><ul><li><b>Cyber & Control Advocacy: </b>Position our SCADA and control systems not just as operational tools, but as vital cybersecurity assets in an increasingly threatened infrastructure landscape.</li><li><b>Market Feedback Loop: </b>Act as the bridge between the customer’s technical roadmap (e.g., higher rack densities, liquid cooling power needs) and our product engineering teams. Collect and understand customer needs, market trends and input from across organizational leadership to align product strategy and roadmap across the power solutions portfolio (natural gas generation, storage, and conversion).</li></ul><p></p><h2><span>Requirements:</span></h2><p></p><ul><li>Industry Experience: 10+ years of technical sales &/or business development experience in the Critical Infrastructure or Energy sector.</li><li><span>Domain Expertise:</span> <span>Deep</span> <span>functional</span> <span>knowledge</span> <span>of</span> <span>the</span> <span>data</span> <span>center</span> <span>power</span> <span>stack.</span> <span>You</span> <span>must</span> <span>have experience</span> <span>selling </span>or managing at least three of the following:<ul><li>Power Generation (gas turbines, reciprocating engine gensets, fuel cells, or <span>renewables).</span></li><li>Power Conversion Devices (Inverters, Rectifiers, <span>Transformers).</span></li><li>Battery Energy Storage Systems <span>(BESS).</span></li><li>Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) <span>technologies.</span></li><li>SCADA / Controls & Cybersecurity (OT Security <span>standards).</span></li></ul></li><li><b>Preferred Focus — Natural Gas Generation (our lean for this hire): </b>To complement a team already strong in BESS and renewables, we are specifically seeking commercial depth in natural gas power generation — turbine or reciprocating gensets, including mobile/bridge units. Strong candidates without direct gas experience will still be considered, but demonstrated, verifiable experience in one or more of the following will be a primary differentiator in selection:<ul><li>OEM or packager sales of gas turbines or reciprocating engine <span>gensets.</span></li><li><span>Temporary,</span> <span>bridge,</span> <span>or</span> <span>rental power</span> <span>deployments.</span></li><li>Independent power production (IPP) or gas power-project <span>development.</span></li><li>EPC or contracting for gas generation <span>facilities.</span></li></ul></li><li><b>Gas Market Knowledge: </b>Working knowledge of the natural gas generation landscape — key OEMs and packagers, the dealer and channel structure, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">rental/temporary-power</span> providers, aftermarket service networks, typical equipment lead times, and the competitive set — sufficient to assemble deliverable solutions and advise customers credibly.</li><li>The "Hunter" Mindset: Proven track record of closing complex, multi-million-dollar infrastructure deals with Hyperscalers, large Co-location providers, or EPCs.</li><li>Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering is highly preferred.
