This is an agency-side role: you'll manage a portfolio of 8-10 client brands rather than a single in-house account, driving retention strategy and account management across the book. You'll analyze each brand's full funnel, set the email and SMS direction, and stay close to performance, while the agency's in-house designers, copywriters, and implementers handle production. In the early months you'll work alongside the founder, who stays close to strategy, and grow into greater account ownership as trust builds. Success looks like sharp funnel analysis, proactive problem-spotting, and steady revenue impact across your accounts. This role matters because strategy is where retention work lives or dies, and the right person becomes the brain the agency's clients rely on to keep scaling.

What You'll Do

Drive email and SMS retention strategy across a portfolio of 8-10 e-commerce brands, set on Klaviyo and connected SMS platforms

Analyze each brand's full funnel, not just email and SMS, to judge what will and won't move the needle for that business

Manage client accounts day to day, joining calls, sharing performance updates, and communicating clearly over Slack and email

Audit accounts proactively to catch leak points, misconfigured flows, and issues before they reach the client, with an owner's eye on every detail

QA campaigns and flows before they go live, checking links, discount codes, copy, and design so nothing ships broken

Brief and coordinate with the in-house designers, copywriters, and implementers, setting the direction and keeping campaigns accurate and on schedule

Plan and oversee a sending cadence of roughly 3-4 campaigns per brand per week, balancing promotional and lifecycle sends

Monitor performance across open rates, click-through rates, and revenue contribution, and translate the numbers into clear next moves

Run segmentation and A/B tests that sharpen targeting and lift conversions across accounts

What We're Looking For

3+ years of hands-on experience in e-commerce email and SMS marketing, with strong Klaviyo expertise

Experience working with 7 figure DTC brands, ideally in categories like supplements, health and beauty, or home and decor (generalist e-commerce backgrounds are welcome)

A retention mindset, with the ability to analyze a brand's entire funnel and spot what drives lifetime value, not just channel-level metrics

A proactive audit instinct, someone who catches mistakes and flags issues unprompted rather than waiting to be told

Deep, practical knowledge of email and SMS automation, segmentation, and customer journey mapping

Hands-on familiarity with SMS platforms such as Postscript and Attentive alongside Klaviyo

Strong written and spoken English, with the confidence to manage client-facing communication directly

Sharp QA discipline and attention to detail, the kind of person who tests everything before it ships

This is a dedicated full-time role. Candidates currently running their own agency, or planning to take on freelance or outside work alongside this position, are not a fit

Key Performance Metrics (KPIs)

Drive measurable revenue contribution and engagement gains (open rates, CTR) across your assigned accounts

Catch and resolve account issues proactively, keeping error rates and client-flagged mistakes near zero

Deliver campaigns and flows on time and clean, with QA standards consistently met before launch

Maintain reliable client communication and reporting that strengthens long-term retention

Ramp arc: by day 30, onboarded onto your accounts and operating with the founder's sign-off on client-facing decisions in the internal channel.
