PURPOSE

Responsible for successful set-up and implementation of EPIC software and subsequent upgrades relative to billing and claims. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems in order to automate or modify existing systems. Carries out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Creation and maintenance of Epic Master Files as assigned, including builds, tests and debugging.
  • Identifies potential system problems and training opportunities related to Epic.
  • Assists in testing for monthly updates and annual release upgrades.
  • Consults appropriate reference materials to verify proper outcomes.
  • Provides guidance and advice to all levels of users within technical expertise.
  • Works with end users in billing and collections units to understand needs and requirements in order to recommend solutions.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation of new processes and workflows.
  • Communicates changes and updates to end-users.
  • Researches technology and identifies ways to automate current processes or make necessary system enhancements/changes in order to streamline processes.
  • Builds, tests, troubleshoots, and maintains software.
  • Adheres to all company policies, including but not limited to, OSHA, HIPAA, compliance and Code of Conduct.
  • Regular and dependable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Required: High school diploma or GED. Five (5) or more years of related work experience.

Preferred: Knowledge of CMS/ARC clinic operations and billing & collections functions and how they interrelate. Experience with Epic billing and registration modules.

Required Certificate/License: Must become Proficient or Certified in Epic Resolute, Prelude or related module approved by Management within 12 months of employment.
