Job Summary

MetalCraft Industries is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fabrication Shop Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, welding, and fabricating high-quality metal components according to precise specifications and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, technical proficiency, and a commitment to producing durable and accurate work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabrication of metal structures, components, and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and Arc welding machines safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Maintain welding tools, equipment, and work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to improve fabrication processes and solve technical challenges.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols accurately.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly to supervisors.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques.
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication, welding processes, and industry safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Attention to detail and precision in welding and metal assembly.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for handling heavy materials and long periods of standing.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Knowledge of metal types, welding materials, and fabrication tools.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on welding and fabrication experience in a workshop or industrial setting.
  • Experience in custom metal fabrication and assembly is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Overtime may be required based on project deadlines.
