Job Summary

FedEx Express is seeking a dedicated and safety-focused Ramp Handler – Airport Ground Operations to support our fast-paced air cargo operations. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely handling of packages and aircraft ground activities at the airport. Ramp Handlers play a key role in loading, unloading, and transporting freight while maintaining FedExs high standards for safety, service, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload packages, containers, and freight from aircraft, belt loaders, and ground transport vehicles

  • Perform aircraft ground handling duties, including marshaling, chocking, and securing aircraft

  • Operate ground support equipment such as tugs, dollies, conveyors, and belt loaders (training provided)

  • Sort, scan, and move packages to designated areas following operational procedures

  • Conduct safety checks on equipment and work areas to ensure compliance with regulations

  • Follow all FedEx Express safety, security, and operational policies

  • Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and flight crews to meet tight schedules

  • Maintain accurate documentation and report any irregularities or damages promptly

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling packages

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment

  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

  • Must meet airport security and background check requirements

Experience

  • Prior experience in airport ground operations, ramp handling, warehouse, or logistics is an advantage

Working Hours

  • Shift-based schedule, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays
