Job Summary

RapidFix Field Welding is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Welder to join our dynamic team. This role involves performing on-site welding and metal repair services at client locations, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various welding techniques and possess excellent problem-solving skills to address complex field challenges.

As a Field Service Welder, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment, pipelines, and metal structures, ensuring minimal downtime and exceptional client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site welding and fabrication tasks using MIG, TIG, Stick, and other welding methods.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair metal structures, machinery, and pipelines in accordance with industry standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
  • Travel to client locations and assess repair requirements before executing work.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in safe, working condition.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and company policies on all job sites.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Document work performed and maintain accurate service records.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site welding and fabrication issues efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in field welding, metal fabrication, or industrial repair.
  • Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Stick, and other welding techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to work in outdoor and challenging environments.
  • Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS) preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on field welding experience, preferably in industrial, construction, or pipeline repair environments.
  • Experience with on-site client interactions and troubleshooting complex welding issues.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position, 40–50 hours per week.
  • Flexibility to travel and work extended hours as required by client projects.
