As a Data and Analytics Consultant, you will serve as the technical expert responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing multiple Power BI dashboards, as well as automating and supporting Finance reporting and analytics solutions.</p><p>You will be joining the Finance Data and Analytics (FDA) team, part of the Business Performance Group (BPG) in FIN. FDA is committed to advancing data-driven decision-making across FIN through the development of comprehensive dashboards, automated reporting tools, and analytic insights that enhance financial planning, monitoring, performance management, and operational efficiency. The BPG is responsible for formulating and implementing FIN’s strategic direction, promoting departmental culture and staff engagement, and overseeing internal and external communications. Additionally, BPG manages business performance functions throughout the department, such as budget planning, human capital management, data management and analytics, centralized shared services, and quality assurance, collaborating closely with the CFO and General Manager.</p><p>What you’ll do</p><ul><li>Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical solutions that support Finance processes while enabling continuous process improvement.</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain Power Automate workflows to automate repetitive reporting tasks, improve data flows, and enhance operational efficiency while ensuring appropriate controls and governance.</li><li>Evaluate the impact, challenges, and risks of changes to existing dashboards or workflows.</li><li>Help coordinate User Acceptance Tests (UATs), applying feedback to the solutions.</li><li>Analyze Finance data flows to identify data ownership, data usage, and potential quality issues.</li><li>Profile Finance datasets to identify inconsistencies, errors, and gaps, and recommend corrective actions.</li><li>Prepare and maintain technical, system, and user documentation for Finance dashboards and data processes.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of training materials and deliver training sessions on Power BI dashboards and Finance analytics tools.</li><li>Perform periodic reviews of Finance analytics solutions and provide recommendations for enhancements and optimization.</li></ul><p>What you'll need</p><ul><li>Education: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree is considered a plus.</li><li>Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles</li><li>Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is required.</li><li>Technical Skills:</li><li>Strong, hands-on experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, including data modeling, DAX, and report optimization.</li><li>Proven experience using Power Automate to build workflows, automate data refreshes, and streamline reporting.</li><li>Experience working with SQL and relational databases to support analytics and reporting.</li><li>Experience designing or supporting ETL processes and integrated reporting solutions.</li><li>Experience supporting Finance functions is a strong plus.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. Must be eligible to work in job location(s) without the need for sponsorship.</li><li>Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.</li><li>Local Remote Modality: The selected candidate will not provide services from the Bank's office and will not be provided a physical space on the premises of the Bank's Country Office. The candidate selected will be responsible for setting up the space, and for having the equipment, internet, and phone access to accomplish these TORs, outside the Bank's office. Access to the Bank's systems will be arranged in coordination with the Bank.</li></ul><p>Type of contract and duration</p><ul><li>National Consultant - Local Remote Modality (Full-Time): 12 months (up to 48 months, subject to eligibility) rendered 100% remotely from the place of residence of the selected candidate.
