Financial Analyst in Miami

We seek a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team in Miami, Florida. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in financial analysis and have gone through a financial analyst training program at a major investment bank. This position requires strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills with a deep understanding of economic concepts to support our financial planning and analysis activities.



Requirements


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
    • Prepare, analyze, and present detailed financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
    • Conduct financial modeling to forecast performance and assess financial trends.
    • Analyze historical data and provide actionable insights to senior management for decision-making.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
    • Assist in the development of annual budgets and long-term financial plans.
    • Update forecasts and track performance against budget, identifying key variances and recommending corrective actions.
    • Provide insights into cost management, revenue projections, and capital allocation.
  • Investment Analysis:
    • Evaluate investment opportunities by conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and risk assessments.
    • Support senior management with the analysis of securities, assets, and market trends.
    • Prepare investment reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), market conditions, and potential risks.
  • Data Management & Reporting Tools:
    • Utilize advanced financial software, such as Excel and Bloomberg to manage financial data and generate reports.
    • Develop and automate reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to track the financial health of the organization.
    • Maintain accurate financial databases and ensure data integrity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with accounting, operations, and other departments to gather necessary data and ensure alignment with corporate financial goals.
    • Collaborate with senior executives to provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to drive business performance.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.
    • Assist in identifying potential risks and contribute to the development of risk management strategies.
  • Presentation & Communication:
    • Prepare presentations for executive management, investors, and other stakeholders, clearly communicating financial performance and key takeaways.
    • Communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis within a large financial institution, with exposure to corporate finance, investment analysis, or similar functions.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
    • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, data analysis).
    • Strong skills with Microsoft Office tools.
    • Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools (e.g., Bloomberg, SAP, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of financial statements, financial ratios, and business metrics.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to work under pressure, and handle multiple projects while prioritizing deliverables and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
    • A desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment with a positive attitude.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with investment banking, asset management, or private equity is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance standards, and accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
