Fractional CMO, Part-Time

Description My Valuable Business (MVB) is seeking a strategic and hands-on Fractional Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead and elevate our marketing function. This role will primarily focus on MVB’s internal marketing strategy and execution, while also supporting 2–4 client engagements in a fractional CMO capacity. This is a part-time role with the opportunity of growth into a full-time position as marketing initiatives scale across MVB and our client base. The ideal candidate operates comfortably at both a strategic and executional level—able to define direction, build structure, and ensure consistent follow-through. You are someone who can assess what’s working, identify gaps, and implement practical, results-driven marketing strategies. You bring clarity to messaging, discipline to execution, and accountability to outcomes. Responsibilities • Own and lead MVB’s overall marketing strategy, positioning, and brand direction • Develop and execute marketing plans that support business growth, lead generation, and brand awareness • Evaluate current marketing efforts and implement improvements across channels (digital, content, campaigns, etc.) • Establish clear marketing KPIs and reporting to measure effectiveness and ROI • Build and refine messaging to ensure consistency across all platforms and client-facing materials • Partner with internal teams (leadership, sales, service lines) to align marketing with business objectives • Oversee and/or execute content strategy, including thought leadership, social media, and campaign development • Identify and implement systems, tools, and processes to improve marketing operations and scalability • Provide fractional CMO support to 2–4 clients, including strategy development, advising, and oversight of execution • Ensure consistent follow-through on initiatives, campaigns, and deliverables Requirements • Proven experience in a senior marketing leadership role (CMO, Head of Marketing, or similar), preferably in a fractional or consulting capacity • Strong ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level • Experience building and executing marketing strategies for small to midsize businesses or professional services firms • Demonstrated success in driving lead generation, brand growth, and measurable marketing outcomes • Ability to assess marketing functions, identify gaps, and implement structured improvements • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, content strategy, and campaign management • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business objectives into clear marketing direction • Highly organized with strong project management and follow-through • Comfortable managing multiple priorities across internal and client work • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams • Experience managing external vendors or freelance resources • Proficiency with standard marketing tools and platforms (CRM, email marketing, analytics, social media, etc.) • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship Apply To this Job
