Gastroenterology Division Attending - NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is the world class 591 bed university medical center for the NYU Long Island School of Medicine and an American College of Surgeons (ACS) Level 1 Trauma Center based in Western Nassau County, NY is seeking BC full time Hospitalist for the GI Inpatient Consultation Service.

Ideal candidates will have exemplary clinical skills, a strong interest in teaching and diagnostic and clinical care in the inpatient setting. The GI Hospitalist has primary responsibility as Attending Physician for the GI Inpatient Consultation Service from Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. The Hospitalist supervises a team consisting of a GI Fellow and a PA, as well as rotating medical residents and students.

The Hospitalist and inpatient team sees all the patients that are being cared for by the Service and, together with another GI Faculty Attending assigned to assist with inpatient procedures each morning, performs general GI endoscopic procedures for inpatients. There is no night coverage Monday-Thursday. Weekend coverage consists of approximately 5-6 weekends per year.

Salary range $400k-$500K The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
