Take a look at career opportunities at Viasat today!</span></p> <br><strong>The day-to-day</strong><br><br><ul><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Engage in a high degree of collaboration and communication with engineering, program management, planning, manufacturing, compliance management, quality assurance, and other supply chain departments.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Work with key internal team members to understand their sourcing and procurement needs and to conduct market research. </span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Assist in Statement of Work development, as needed.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Responsible for the management of the awarded Contract Manufacturer in all aspects of procurement and related lifecycle management, including MRP analysis, PO placement, and supply reporting for assigned commodities or programs. </span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Communicate and assess daily issues, including engineering changes, to ensure no shortages to production needs.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Continually monitor suppliers within assigned areas to achieve procurement targets in price, delivery, and quality.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Lead purchases for assigned products in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARs), including development of compliance packages used for Purchases.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Accountable for RFI’s, RFP’s, and RFPs for assigned commodities/programs. </span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Negotiate and administer optimal terms with suppliers that consider, among other things, cost, quality, schedule, and supply continuity in support of unique program requirements.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;">Meet tight program schedules, work with proposals, and cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines and financial goals are met.</li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Establish commodity/product competency and pricing expertise. </span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Monitor markets and determine strategies to capture market benefits and mitigate supply issues.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Facilitate process improvement/change initiatives.</span></li></ul> <br><strong>What you'll need</strong><br><br><ul><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">7+ years of experience as a supply chain professional in an entrepreneurial, high-tech environment. </span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;">Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Operations, Supply Chain, or related experience.</li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Demonstrated success and characteristics such as setting goals, inspiring/influencing others, and always finding a way to meet the business objectives.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills, and the ability to present to Senior Leadership.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Will need to successfully interact with peers and all levels of management within the organization.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">A skilled user of the Microsoft Office suite of business software is required: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. </span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">Ability to create and present analytics to senior members of the organization.</span></li><li style="color: black; font-size: 9pt;"><span style="font-size: 9pt;">US government position.
