This role, residing in the Third-Party Wealth (“TPW”) Client Business, is for an experienced, organised and ambitious individual to support the expansion of our distribution partnerships in alternative investments, and for helping to drive growth of a range of products including those specifically designed for this client channel.

The successful candidate will focus on MENA Region, based out of Dubai. They will work alongside relevant client coverage colleagues on the sales, marketing and ongoing support for all Goldman Sachs alternative investment strategies offered through third party intermediaries such as private banks, wealth managers, fund of funds / multi-managers and investment advisors.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifying new distributor relationships and supporting existing distributor relationships across the MENA region alongside client coverage teams.
  • Collaborate with client coverage teams and drive alternative product sales by providing a high level of technical expertise across strategies to sales teams as well as directly to diligence teams and investment advisors. This will include communication of investment process, portfolio positioning, points of competitive differentiation, and analysis of investment results. 
  • Working with local distributors and their client advisors to provide thought leadership on allocating to private markets, how to build out an alternatives portfolio and what implementation options are available
  • Design and drive marketing campaigns with local distribution partners
  • Work closely with other Goldman Sachs private market investment teams 
  • Travel around the region to meet with clients in person

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Knowledge of and high degree of intellectual curiosity on alternatives investment strategies.
  • Experience with alternative investment sales. 
  • Excellent analytical, communication (written and oral), organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others. 
  • Strong organisational skills, with ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with different deadlines.
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent work ethic.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in the asset management industry.
