What You’ll Do…

This position is located in Houston, TX. Our intern program philosophy is to “recruit once, hire twice” with the hope to hire interns back into full-time or return internship roles.

The internship program assignments are 10-14 weeks in duration and are full-time on-site internships. The summer 2026 internship is expected to begin on May 17, 2026.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and test software features for applications that will have immediate future commercial value.
  • Collaborate with senior developers and product owners to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Learn and apply new technologies, tools and best practices to improve your skills and performance.
  • Contribute to code reviews, documentation and testing processes.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the functionality of the software products.

What You’ll Bring to Our Team

Required Qualifications:

  • Reliable transportation to and from work daily is required.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future; Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C++, C#, Python or JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in querying databases using SQL, KQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra technologies.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, app and web development frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with version control tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of app testing and debugging methods, such as unit testing, integration testing, and logging.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Eager to learn new skills and technologies from experienced mentors and peers.

Relocation

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. To qualify, your university and/or permanent address must be more than 50 miles from your work location.

  • Corporate housing provided for the summer to those candidates who qualify.
  • Relocation assistance.

Salary Range: $26/hour for students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree; $31/hour for students pursuing a Master’s degree; $36/hour for students pursuing a PhD
