We are hiring 100% REMOTE pharmacy technician across time zones. As a pharmacy tech, you will be involved in reviewing prior authorizations for determination for a department that is part of a large healthcare insurance company. You will approve or deny authorizations and send some to pharmacist for final review. You will handle all health plans and types of medications.

 

This role is fully computer- based with little to no phone work. Responsibilities include:

  • process prescription exceptions including resolving claim rejects and member and physician outreach
  • enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system
  • research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues
  • escalate questions regarding prescriptions to pharmacist for interpretation or provide direction on processing
  • assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls

 

Must Have:

 

  • 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Prior Authorization
  • Customer Service
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to work remote and independently
  • 100% remote. Must work in a closed-door setting with limited distractions and be HIPAA compliant. Strong Wi-Fi and ability to work remotely are required.

 

Shift: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 8 PM (8 hour shift)

 

Remote role: Preferably located at South or North Carolina/Arizona/Florida/Alabama
