Hotel Front Desk Agent

Night Audit Front Desk Associate Location: Comfort Suites Hotel, Fresno CA 93720 Employment Type: Full Time or Part Time; Night Shift (overnight) Compensation: Competitive hourly wage DOE; 

Position Summary The Night Audit Front Desk Associate is the overnight face of Comfort Suites Fresno. You will perform front desk duties, complete nightly audit and reporting tasks, handle guest check‑ins and check‑outs, resolve guest issues, and ensure the property is secure and operating smoothly through the night. This role requires strong customer service, basic accounting accuracy, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities • Night audit and reporting: Reconcile daily revenue, post charges, balance cashiering reports, and prepare nightly audit reports. • Guest services: Greet and assist arriving guests, process check‑ins and check‑outs, manage reservations, and handle payment processing. • Customer care: Respond to guest requests and complaints professionally and promptly; escalate issues to management when necessary. • Safety and security: Monitor property security, perform nightly walkthroughs, and follow emergency procedures. • Administrative tasks: Answer phones, respond to emails, maintain logbooks, and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance. • Cash handling: Open and close cash drawer, follow cash control procedures, and prepare deposits as required.

Required Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred. • Basic accounting or bookkeeping skills and comfort with numbers. • Proficiency with property management systems and Microsoft Office; ability to learn hotel software quickly. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor. • Ability to work overnight shifts and weekends as scheduled. • Reliable, detail oriented, and able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Choice Hotels systems or similar PMS. • Bilingual skills beneficial. • Prior experience handling cash and nightly audits in a hospitality setting.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. • Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. • Work performed primarily at front desk and office areas during overnight hours.
