HR Operations Specialist

<br>Position Summary<br><br><p style="margin: 0px;"></p><div>The Human Resources Specialist functions as the primary point of contact for Human Resources transactions, with a high level of service excellence, responding to internal and external customers and departments by assisting in resolving matters that require a broad base of HR knowledge. Responsible for timely and accurate processing of transactions in assigned area.</div><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p> <br>Responsibilities<br><br><p style="margin: 0px;"></p><div><p style="margin: 0px;">• Processes transactions related to core human resources data related to personal information, employment, job information, performance management with defined timeframe.<br>• Administers and maintains Human Resources programs as assigned.<br>• Provides excellent, positive, customer service with all levels of the organization.<br>• Responds to inquiries by providing accurate information based upon knowledge of the appropriate Orlando Health policy language and intent, as well as applying knowledge of the appropriate state and federal laws.<br>• Responds to issues and concerns in a timely manner.<br>• Maintains a caring and professional attitude at all times.<br>• Provides ongoing customer education in the process of answering concerns.<br>• Assists customers in completing Orlando Health and Human Resource related forms and applications.<br>• Maintains a high level of confidentiality when researching and resolving customer concerns.<br>• Maintains accurate information in the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). Able to query, audit, and compile reports from the database as needed.<br>• Utilizes the document management system to scan, link and access team member files.<br>• Provides training for team members in other internal Human Resources Departments.<br>• Makes recommendations for process improvements to continuously improve overall efficiency and customer service.<br>• Escalates customer concerns when necessary to Supervisor and/or Director.<br>• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.<br>• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.</p><p style="margin: 0px;">Other Related Functions<br>• Tracks and reports on trends and developments in assigned areas.<br>• Participates in working groups, councils and committees.<br>• Participates in development of departmental goals and objectives.<br>• Continually seeks to improve overall function of department.<br>• Maintains the confidentiality of all Orlando Health information.<br>• Knowledgeable of Human Resources guidelines, processes and policies.<br>• Attends meetings/in-services and presents information in department and other meetings as requested.<br>• Assumes responsibility for ongoing professional development and continuing education.<br>• Exhibit excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple assignments, adapting to changing priorities and situations, and follow through on the completion of assignments by deadlines.<br>• Assists other HR functions and the departments that she/he supports on an as needed basis.<br>• Responsible for organizing, managing and completing special projects as assigned.</p></div><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p> <br>Qualifications<br><br><p style="margin: 0px;"></p><div><p style="margin: 0px;"><strong>Education/Training</strong><br>High School diploma or equivalent.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"><strong>Licensure/Certification</strong><br>None.</p><p style="margin: 0px;"> </p><p style="margin: 0px;"><strong>Experience</strong><br>• Two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources or administrative support role.<br>• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products is required, including intermediate to advanced Excel and Outlook skills.<br>• Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.<br>• Must be familiar with Federal, State, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and human rights guidelines and laws.
