Responsibilities
  • Identify and establish relationships with new and existing shippers and carriers.
  • Negotiate freight rates and contracts to maximize profitability.
  • Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain detailed records of shipments, contracts, and communications.
  • Resolve any issues or delays in freight transportation promptly.
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand your freight brokerage business.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a freight broker or independent freight agent.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own client portfolio effectively.
  • Familiarity with freight management software and online load boards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid freight broker license or relevant certifications are preferred.

Who We're Looking For
  • At least one active shipper customer with consistent load activity
  • 6+ months Independent Freight Agent experience OR 2+ years logistics sales and dispatch experience
  • Strong sales mindset with the ability to grow a book of business
  • Professional communication skills and consistent follow-through
  • Ability to operate as a 1099 contractor
  • U.S.-based professional moving freight within U.S., Canada, and Mexico lanes

Compensation

Commission-Based
Estimated Earnings: $52,000 - $150,000+ annually
