Independent Medicare Insurance Agent

Location: North Carolina (Remote / Field-Based)
Compensation: 100% Commission-Based (Renewals Included)
Schedule: Flexible / Independent Contractor (1099)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking motivated, licensed Independent Medicare Insurance Agents to serve Medicare beneficiaries across North Carolina. This is a 1099 independent contractor role offering flexibility, multiple carrier options, and the opportunity to build a long-term book of business with recurring renewals.

Agents will educate clients on Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Prescription Drug Plans, helping them make informed healthcare coverage decisions that best fit their needs.

Responsibilities

  • Educate Medicare-eligible individuals on available Medicare plans
  • Conduct needs-based consultations (in person, by phone, or virtually)
  • Assist clients with Medicare Advantage, Med Supp, and PDP enrollments
  • Maintain compliance with CMS and carrier guidelines
  • Build and manage your own book of business
  • Follow up with clients annually and as needed

Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina Health insurance license
  • Active North Carolina Medicare Supplement/ Long Term Care insurance license
  • AHIP certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Medicare experience preferred but not required (training available)
