Inventory & Logistics Specialist

Our client, an international e-commerce company with a strong presence in the USA, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory & Logistics Specialist to oversee end-to-end supply chain and inventory operations. This full-time remote role combines freight management, Amazon FBA coordination, inventory forecasting, and reverse logistics to ensure smooth operations across all sales channels. The brand is committed to creating elevated, practical experiences for pets and their people—and is looking for an Inventory & Logistics Specialist to help scale that mission by ensuring seamless product flow from factory to customer. Key Responsibilities Freight & Supply Chain Management - Manage end-to-end order placement with factories and track order progress through to completion. - Request, negotiate, and select the best quotes from freight forwarders, determining the optimal type of sea freight for each specific situation. - Design ideal loading configurations for shipping containers based on product dimensions to maximize space and reduce shipping costs. - Oversee the loading process through active communication with factories and freight partners. - Track all global shipments, proactively flagging and mitigating any potential delays. Amazon FBA & E-commerce Operations - Create and manage Amazon Shipments, utilizing software solutions (e.g., 9Yards and similar simulation tools) to run multiple simulations and target the most cost-effective Amazon warehouses. - Oversee the receiving of units at both Amazon fulfillment centers and partner 3PL warehouses. - Perform thorough reconciliation for all inbound shipments to ensure accurate stock levels and file claims for missing units when necessary. - Coordinate Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) orders for Last Mile transport from our 3PL to customers for non-Amazon (DTC/B2B) orders. Inventory Forecasting & Management - Continuously monitor inventory levels across all sales channels to prevent overstocking or Out-of-Stock (OOS) situations. - Forecast inventory movements and project OOS dates at the SKU level to accurately plan factory order quantities. Reverse Logistics & Returns Management - Create and manage Amazon removal orders for customer returns. - Arrange transport from Amazon to 3PL/processing facilities. - Oversee the de-kitting, inspection, and sorting of damaged units into tiers for parts harvesting or resale. Scale of Operations - Container Shipments ~8 per month. - LTL Orders (Last Mile) ~10 per week. - Factory Orders ~6 per year. Software & Workflow Proficiency - Amazon FBA & E-commerce Systems Deep expertise with Amazon Seller Central, FBA placement optimization, inbound reconciliation, and removal/disposal orders. - Forecasting & Inventory Management Hands-on experience with IMS tools (SoStocked, RestockPro, Cin7, Skubana), advanced Excel or Google Sheets for SKU-level forecasting and run-rate models. - Logistics, Freight & 3PL Integration Familiarity with container load planning software (EasyCargo, CubeMaster), freight platforms (Flexport, Freightos), warehouse management systems (ShipStation, ShipHero), and reverse logistics workflows. Core Competencies - 3+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or Amazon inventory management. - Proven ability to manage complex shipments and multi-stage fulfillment workflows across international markets. - Strong understanding of Amazon FBA processes and multi-channel e-commerce operations. - Advanced analytical mindset with the ability to build and interpret detailed SKU-level forecasting and inventory models. - Practical experience coordinating international freight, container shipments, and 3PL operations in a multi-channel environment. - Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail. - Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders. - Alignment with the companys premium brand standards and operational excellence mindset.
