We celebrate continuous improvement, new ideas, compassion, teamwork, integrity and excellence.</span></p> <p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the preparation and analysis of investment-related accounting and reporting in conjunction with outside investment managers, the internal investment team, and third-party accounting services. This role operates with a high degree of independence, handling reconciliations and statutory reporting requirements for portfolio including Fixed Income, Equities, and Alternative Investments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you can expect:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Analyze and prepare investment entries and adjustments to the financial statements accurately and timely.</li> <li>Provide investment data used in reporting for management and the Board of Directors, including data used in investment committee reports.</li> <li>Analyze other than temporary impairment adjustments timely, prepare related reports and maintain the impairment policy.</li> <li>Reconcile portfolio balances between general ledger, custodian reports and investment manager reports.</li> <li>Identify and implement new investment processes as needed and maintain adequate controls over current processes.</li> <li>Prepare timely and accurate audit work papers and disclosures for auditors and examiners for investment-related areas.</li> <li>Prepare timely and accurate investment-related sections of the quarterly and annual filings.</li> <li>Prepare investment income plan v actual reporting to track performance against financial goals.</li> </ul> <p>ADDITIONAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Serve on finance project teams as requested</li> <li>Continue to improve processes related to regular activities</li> <li>Maintain all relevant controls related to job duties</li> <li>Perform other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>What you need to be successful:</strong></p> <ul> <li><strong>Required:</strong>  <ul> <li>At least 3 - 5 years of accounting/finance experience required with an emphasis in investment accounting or NAIC Statutory Accounting. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the ability to apply these to job duties.</li> </ul> </li> <li><strong>Preferred:</strong> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>strongly preferred.</em></span></li> <li>Experience with Clearwater Analytics (CWAN) </li> <li>Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel</li> <li>Alternative Investment Accounting Experience</li> <li>CPA certification <em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">preferred</span></em></li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Regular attendance required.
