IT Helpdesk Intern – Windows and Network Support

Job Summary

TechEase is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Helpdesk Intern to join our dynamic IT support team. This internship offers hands-on exposure to Windows systems, network troubleshooting, and end-user support, providing a strong foundation for a career in IT support and infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to internal employees via phone, email, or chat.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Windows operating system issues, software installations, and application errors.
  • Assist with network connectivity issues including LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless troubleshooting.
  • Document incidents, solutions, and maintain a knowledge base for recurring issues.
  • Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff when necessary.
  • Support IT team in hardware setup, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Participate in IT projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with network concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.

Experience

  • No prior professional experience required.
  • Any exposure through academic projects, internships, or personal labs in IT support or networking is a plus.
