Duties

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
  • Cook a variety of menu items efficiently, ensuring quality and presentation are maintained
  • Follow food safety protocols and handle food with care to prevent contamination
  • Support menu planning by assisting with ingredient prep and portioning
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
  • Assist with catering orders and special event meal preparations as needed
  • Serve dishes promptly and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times

Skills

  • Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly valued
  • Strong food preparation and cooking skills, including knife handling and meal assembly
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience in the food industry or culinary setting
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent food service skills with attention to detail and presentation
  • Familiarity with menu planning, food industry practices, and catering operations
