Logistics Operations Manager for FedEx Ground Contractor

Job Summary

The Logistics Operations Manager will oversee, optimize, and manage day-to-day logistics operations for FedEx Ground Contractor facilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery services while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence, safety, and compliance. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between FedEx Ground and the contractor team, implementing best practices, supervising staff, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across all logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily logistics operations, including package handling, routing, and distribution processes.

  • Ensure operational goals are met in terms of productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.

  • Coordinate with FedEx Ground and contractor leadership to align operational strategies and objectives.

  • Supervise, mentor, and train warehouse and transportation teams to improve performance and adherence to FedEx standards.

  • Monitor and analyze operational KPIs, generate reports, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety guidelines.

  • Implement process improvements and lean methodologies to enhance operational workflows.

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Proficiency in logistics software, warehouse management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong understanding of FedEx Ground operational standards and contractor requirements is a plus.
